Hands up who else is fed up of being a parent today

and who would really rather be:

a) drinking mojitos on a beach somewhere

b) rolling out of bed next to some sexy bloke your mother wouldn't approve of after a steamy all night session

c) Just not smelling of babypoo, able to drink a hot drink and eat the breakfast you haven't managed to have yet, whilst having five fucking minutes of time to yourself without your dc flinging themselves alternately at your legs, hot drink, and anything vaguely dangerous, again and again and again til you want to SCREAM.

C would do for starters, then A for courage to do the B.

that was me yesterday
today (so far) has been serene in comparison
mostly because dd is finally having anp which she resisted the last 2 days and I was getting nevous she was dropping it (she is 20 months)

sweetkitty · 17/06/2008 13:46

Oh can I have C as well

I just want not to be pregnant anymore, to be able to walk and move without being in pain, not to burp acid into my throat, to be able to bend over, see my fanjo in the shower, not to be completely knackered and irritable.

In fact I just want someone to take my other DC for a few hours so I could sleep!

He fell asleep on me, I thought "Yes!!!" and gently, quietly put him down in his travel cot, went to walk away and knocked his rattly thing with my foot which set off the songs and noises on his sodding bastard walker which woke him up, and he'd only been asleep 5 min and he won't go back to sleep raararagagraagaah!!!

And he's determined he will pull the plastic cover off the air vent today. He's already pulled the pipe covers off, ripped his poster, peeled the carpet up in the hall and he keeps shutting me in the kitchen and sitting behind the door crying where I can't get to him. If I put something in front of the door to keep it open, he pulls it over on himself.

I shall go mad. MAD, I tell you!!!

Yep. DS2 had his first set of inoculations 28 hours ago, and I'm waiting for the fever to kick in.
DS1 has been told off by Kindergarten, as have I, as he's fighting, playing Star Wars. I may as well have worn a sign round my head saying "Bad Parent, causes aggression in children."

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 17/06/2008 14:15

Glad it's not just me then! I always feel like I'm doing it all wrong.
