Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place as it's my first post!
My 5 year olds favourite book is You Choose and I'd love for him to be that book for World Book Day but I'm not sure how to do it? Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? Thanks in advance :-)

If it were me I'd just get him to choose one of his favourite characters in the book and dress up as that. Plenty to pick from!

I loved "You Choose" - my children are teenagers now but I wish I had thought of it as a costume.

My immediate thought would be to mix and match items so child has "picked" their favourite hat, top, trousers, maybe a bow tie, odd socks or gloves, etc etc, maybe a superhero cape and a stethescope or a spanner.... So you can create the costume just from what you have in the house, including dressing up costumes.

If you’ve already got a box of dressing up costumes I’d put together a top, bottoms and hat each from a different costume.

Is there a character he particularly likes? My son loved the cave man

My DD dressed as the green alien with four eyes from the space one. we made a headband out of cardboard and she wore green clothes.

One of my dc has a book about himself. It’s one of those personalised like ‘Henry Smith, Super Hero’ type books. I’ve been pushing for 4 years now for him to go as himself because I think it would be hilarious. He is yet to agree to this plan. Would save me the hassle though. 😩

There's more than one 'You Choose' book??? Yayyy! Off to Amazon now. (My son is 23, but loved You Choose so much! It'll be a great 24th birthday present!!!) And it's a wonderful idea for WBD. So many options to choose from!
