Advice on how to stop my toddler from screaming.

My Son is 20 months old and he has got into a habit of screaming! He screams when he is playing and he screams during tantrums. It’s really piercing to the eardrums and it is starting to give me really bad headaches, as it’s so constant throughout the day and it’s every day!

I’ve tried ignoring it, I’ve tried telling him off by saying no and putting him on the step if he carries on, I’ve even got on the floor and had a tantrum to see if it would shock him to stop. Nothing is working and I'm getting really fed up with it. He is a lovely little boy, but this is really starting to get to me and make me not enjoy being around him. My daughter is 11 and I don’t remember her being like this. Of course she had tantrums, but she never went through a phase of constant screaming!

Please help!
Thank you

Teach him what to do, don't try him tell him what not to do. Teach him the exact phrases he should say when he wants something rather than 'use your words'.
