Sickness after 12 month vaccinations

DD had her 12 month vaccinations late yesterday afternoon, slept fine until around 5am when she woke up and was sick. She's been sick a couple more times since then. She also has a cold and cough which sometimes she coughs so much she's sick.

Has anyone else's little ones been sick after having them? Doesn't seem to be listed as a main side effect so not sure if its the vaccines or a dreaded sickness bug from nursery.

It sounds like she’s just ill OP, she was ill before the vaccination. Mine weren’t sick after theirs but felt rubbish.

Did she have the cough and cold before the vaccinations? I thought you weren’t supposed to vaccinate if they’re already ill?

Guess if we all get sickness we'll know!

Nurse said as long as no temperature which she hasnt had it was fine. She's had a cough/cold pretty much all winter.

Poor little thing! It's most likely a combination of both, my kids get it often after vaccinations too. Vaccines can cause a general under-the-weather response (like low grade fever, unsettled tummy etc.) even if vomiting isn't listed as a main side effect, and if she's already fighting a cold from nursery her system is working overtime. Bad timing!

Worth keeping an eye on her temperature over the next 1-2 days - I used managefever.com when mine are unwell, it's free and really helped me to spot whether the fever was settling or creeping up. Hope she's back to herself soon! 🤞
