WWYD formula feeding recalls

Hi, I am 36 weeks pregnant and have bought aptamil ready to feed and powder in preparation for baby. None of the products I've bought have been included in the recent formula recalls (checked dates and batch numbers) but I'm wondering whether to switch to a different milk as obviously baby isn't yet here so wouldn't make a difference to them. What would others do continue with the aptamil or buy something else?

Fun fact - until these recalls in 2026, neither Cow & Gate nor Aptamil formula milk had ever been recalled.

Cow & Gate have been operating for over 100 years and nearly 20 under the Danone ownership. Aptamil have been running since 1968 and were also acquired in 2007.

This is almost certainly a one off, freak incident that was caused by a rogue supply chain. Both formulas are now probably going to be some of the safest on the market and tested vociferously because Danone simply can't afford an issue like this again.

If they haven't been recalled, they're fine.

But this is partly why I was very determined to breastfeed. You have no idea what's in formula, my anxiety would have been through the roof in all this recall stuff (which does happen often enough, even if not this particular brand).
