Just hoping to get some insight from other parents .. not sure if I’m just being crazy
I’m a mum of one 14 year old DD, never given me any trouble (apart from the usual teenage attitude) she doesn’t go out very often (her choice) occasionally goes out with her close friends just around our area, to McDonald’s 10 mins away etc but I always know what friends she’s with so never have worries there, she never gets in trouble and is generally a good teen, does well in school really focuses on revising for exams etc.
here comes the BUT: something is niggling at me .. I sometimes just do a quick scan over her devices (phone/ipad) I don’t intrude too much reading all her messages etc but it’s just a scan, I’ve noticed a note written in her notes that reads (very simply)
24th June - Joe
10th September - Mark
I don’t know why this note is bothering me so much, I don’t want to ask her about it just yet as I think if it was anything she would just shut down on me, and it could be nothing and I’m just being paranoid, but I do feel like the last few weeks (maybe longer and I haven’t noticed) she seems a bit different, more touchy when I try to talk to her, wanting to be in her room a lot more than she usually would.
again, I’ve come on here just to get other parents views, I haven’t even said about this to anyone else as I’m not sure why it’s niggling at me so much it’s hard to put my finger on

Thats exactly what I thought, birthdays.

It has never occurred to me to read my dc's notes on their phone. I do spot check messages but notes feels like snooping.
