or should I say fuckwit

He noticed this morning that behind DS3's ears were dirty - so I'm obviously not washing him properly/.

Yes - when I looked closely there was indeed dirt right in behind them, but the way he'd said it you'd think that I never cleaned him -

Actually the reality is that he won't sit still in the bath so they're very quick at the moment and yes - OMG!!! I've been missing a bit

Does he not know that a little bit of dirt never hurt anyone? In fact, it's positively good for them?

lulumama · 14/06/2008 12:18

i don;t think i;ve ever made a concious effort to clean behind the DCs ears. regular baths and hair washing seems to suffice without going over them in minute detail

he really has too much time on his hands, FAQ

Carmenere · 14/06/2008 12:23

Yes but the great thing is that now you can just respond with 'hahahahahahah, i couldn't give a fuck if you don't approve because I am strong enough to know that they are lovingly cared for by a great mum'

oh he was here for 45 minutes (give or take a few minutes) and ShelleyLou and I had great fun being sickly sweet to him

er hold on a minute, why isnt this an example of HIS crap parenting?

belgo · 14/06/2008 12:31

exactly charliecat!

I'm not even going to look behind my children's ears.

FAQ · 14/06/2008 12:39

lol I don't think it's crap parenting at all - infact I had to hold my laugh in when he showed me the dirt

OP posts:
partaria · 14/06/2008 14:38

Show him the flannel and get him to clean them to his own high standards the.

FAQ · 14/06/2008 14:48

well I did suggest to him that he should try bathing DS3 next time he has him to stay over and see how "easy" it is to give him ANY sort of clean (let alone a scrub behind the ears lol)

OP posts:
Doodle2U · 14/06/2008 14:54

Next time you see him, tell him HE has got dirt under his nails/behind ear/where ever and ask him if he feels (he'll hate that word) he is coping OK without you or is it all becoming a bit too much for him.

Attack - best form of defence. Turn the tables on him

Does your DS sit next to Kerrymum's DS2 in class?

FAQ · 14/06/2008 15:00

PMSL @ Swedes - no he doesn't

Swedes · 14/06/2008 15:05

Just checking.

FAQ · 14/06/2008 15:06

charliecat · 14/06/2008 15:46

I found a thick layer of grime behind dd1s ear when she was 4 months old. I always checked after that....It hadnt occured to me to do s before
I still dont get why its your problem. The child his too!

FAQ · 14/06/2008 15:49

well it's "my" problem as I look after them 95% of them time, he still doesn't have them to stay over regularly therefore doesn't bath them...

OP posts:
Morloth · 16/06/2008 10:25

You are supposed to look behind their ears????

GooseyLoosey · 16/06/2008 10:28

Wow - I'm meant to clean them in the bath? I thought I just put them in to have fun and generally get wet, the cleaning process just kind of happens (or not as the case may be).

FAQ · 16/06/2008 18:14

the funniest thing is........I'd actually bathed them before he came and picked them up - so about 2hrs before

Gosh - you should hand over custody immediately. He clearly understands the priority parenting items and you get to have more time off!

RusselBrussel · 16/06/2008 18:31

Check it really is dirt...
My mum pointed out to me that I could not have been cleaning behind dd's ears properly when she was that age. Turned out it was cradle cap!

FAQ · 16/06/2008 18:32

oh no it was definitely dirt
