Hi Ladies,
My little one has hit 6 weeks and for the past few nights he is literally wanting to be on the boob for hours on end in the evening. Its exhausting! How long is this likely to continue? Please share your experiences xx

I can’t remember but have my sympathies. The new Bridgeton starts tonight.

This is 100% normal for a 6 week old. There’s growth spurts at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks and 18/20 weeks, during these times your baby will be fussy and ravenous. Just keep feeding. Switch sides regularly, be mindful of good latch & positioning and don’t panic.

Find a good show and some snacks. It feels endless when it’s happening but it will pass!

Think it was up and down until around 3 months. Seems like an eternity but it really isn't.

Both of mine did this from a few days old until 3 or 4 months. With the second one I gave a bottle after an hour or two of feeding each evening and that did help. He guzzled it so really was just hungry. The first wouldn’t take bottles so supplementing wasn’t an option. It was all quite stressful tbh, but they’re charming young adults now.
