Dd is two and a half and has shown an interest in the potty and using it so I ordered a nice new one and a little travel potty, very exciting. Except she now point blank refuses to engage with either, won’t sit on them, asks for her nappy and gets upset if I try to encourage using the potty.
My instinct is to leave it for a while but I don’t really know what to do with the potty in the meantime. I don’t want to keep it out and keep asking for her to refuse but I do want to keep it present as a kind of ‘you do need to do this eventually.’
Any thoughts?
