For those of you who give out party bags (and I totally understand not everyone does) how much do you spend on party bag fillers, per child?

Very little as most of it ends up in the bin. I have 3 kids and have found little bags of sweets with maybe a glow stick in it are there firm favourites.

My “party” bag is a book wrapped up and a bag of sweets. I bought 30 books for £15, and 2kg of sweets I put into sweet bags which cost another £15, so it worked out at £1 per child.

So far, I‘ve used party bags for the kids to store what they collect during the party. Ages 5&7 we did classic party games with small prizes (one was a Lego party where they won Lego bricks). At the Harry Potter party (age 8), they helped take down the decorations and share it between the bags. Lots and lots of flying keys… Age 9, there was a pinata with coins (1-5 cent pieces), chocolate and stationery.

It depends on how many kids, if it’s a whole class party I’d aim for £1-2 each and if it’s a small party like taking 3 or 4 friends out, I’d spend more like £5 on those.

Depends on the party. If it’s reception class, 25+ kids then I’d keep it really simple and about £1.50 per kid. Sweets, few little toys, silly glasses etc.

If it’s a small party for an older child I’ve spent £5-10. For example a pamper party where each got a personalised water bottle, nail varnish & various pamper bits.

No idea, I’ve never priced it up per child. I buy whatever I like that looks interesting that will fit in the bag. I’d guess I probably spend £30 plus cost of bags. There are usually about 12-15 of them as it’s a small class.

Im probably about £2 a child. I got on rex international sale. One year I got metal buckets for £1.50, another year I got them lunch bags. For next party its bento boxes i got for £2.

The works do 10 books for £10, so much nicer to get a book than a bag of plastic rubbish that goes straight in the bin 😫

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I'm definitely aiming for quality rather than plastic rubbish!
@GlendaruelI'd forgotten about Rex, I've stocked up from them in the past
