Calling all parents of Shark & sea life obsessed children!

DS will soon be 3, looking for some ideas on any great toys and books you have in this area!

Also any days out that are recommended, we have been to the London aquarium, is there anywhere else worth visiting?

Ahh I can’t add anything other than to say my little shark obsessed boy is still a shark obsessed adult. If I see anything ‘shark’ related I have to buy it!

I'm sure you have already come across it, Sharing A Shell by Julia Donaldson. I had a DC the same, they are 18 now but I can still recite the book

My son (turned 4 this week) has the following:
A shark projector torch
Octonaut figures
Shark plushies
Octonaut books
Non-fiction books about sea creatures

Other things I've thought about but he doesn't have yet:
Sea creature string lights!

Go rock pooling. You won’t be more than an hour or two from a beach with decent rock pools (usually at low tide). Plan a day trip or weekend around it. Take a bucket and net.

The aquarium at the Horniman Museum in London is an absolute treasure. It's quite small but there are a variety of different habitats from coral reefs to rock pools.
Brighton Aquarium is great - beautiful old building and less pricey than the one in London.
I do a lot of non-fiction books about marine life with my son too. When he was little we used to visit the local pet shop to see the tropical fish but sadly it's closed down now.
Still looking for a beach in striking distance of London with rock pools though.
