21 week old baby wobbly head

I was wondering when everyone’s babies head stopped being wobbly when held upright? I feel like my son’s head is still very wobbly. Two people have commented on this when they’ve met him which just affirms my anxiety around it. I did get him checked by health visitor just before Xmas and she said it was fine, but she just made us sit him up in our lap for a bit so didn’t feel like a proper assessment.

He’s been rolling for a while and loves being on his tummy so he does a lottt of tummy time and is trying to crawl (can move from one end of the room to the other almost ) Just don’t understand why it’s so wobbly held upright. Literally like a bobble head. I’ve messaged HV again to have a look.

Also I probably do sound over anxious and it’s cause I have PPA- getting therapy for it atm.

I think you’re doing all the right things… checking with HV.. you haven’t said how old he is, and every baby develops differently… you sound like a great mom. Do you go to baby group and see other babies ?

Does he still have lag during pull to sit? I worried so much about head stability (also have anxiety) but was reassured that lack of a head lag during pull to sit is a good sign everything’s ok. I don’t really remember when my baby’s head became less wobbly but I do remember worrying about pull to sit.

does baby have torticollis? Might be the case for residual wobble

No he doesn’t! He had it in December but now it’s either gone or almost gone thankfully

That’s very reassuring then and your concerns are more likely a sign of anxiety :)
