Problems with a Phil and Teds Sport??

Hi! Has anyone else had problems with a P & T sport when used in newborn and toddler position? I have a 2 year old and 12 week old and when it got hot used it wothout the cocoon. The baby had a little kick (she was only in it for 10 minutes) before the skin on her toes was rubbed off on the underside of the toddler seat - she had blood over both feet and legs?? Surely can't be the only person to have had this or do I have a faulty doubles seat. Having serious issues with getting sorted through kiddicare (down to retailer as its so new). Not what I expected when I paid hundreds for a pushchair?! HELP me!

I didn't have any problems when I was using the cocoon, just without. But there really isn't much room for the baby as they get bigger. I can't imagine that she'll be happy until 6 months?? But I'm instructed not to use it at the mo as it may be faulty, Kiddicare want take it away and test it!!! Great help. They don't seem to realise that I bought a double because I have 2 small people to get around!? Making me an girl. In touch with Which legal and trading standards as they think it may be a safety fault. Can't see or feel anything sharp, double seat seems to hang low ish?? but generally the material that she rubs her feet on is rough on soft skin and has no give in it with a toddler sat on top. Happened twice now, not prepared to try it again! Esp with the risk of double seat being dodgy as its over the baby!? You would think Kiddicare would just send me a replacement but things are never that simple hey?!

As for the steering, up and down curbs is dodgy - I think thats part of any 3 wheeler tho having had a buzz before. And it annoys me that you ahve to buy all the extras, inc essential ones like raincovers, separately.

Hi

I've had lots of problems with my Sport. I've had excellent customer service from phoning Out and About (the distributor for Phil and Teds in the UK) direct and although I've had to then go back through where I bought it because I could say "x from phil and teds says I need a new ...." I've had no trouble getting it fixed.

in fact, except the wheels I've had every piece of it replaced (although waiting for a new double raincover because they're not in til the end of the month - check yours fits when you've got the doubles seat underneath in recline, mine isn't long enough so rain runs off and down the neck of my 6 month old)

Absolutely nothing but praise for the P&T in my book! My ds (born last May) had no problems like this - have you felt the underside of the toddler seat to check for any rough bits?

Could you not fix a small sheet/blanket to the underside of the toddler seat to protect you baby's skin? The fabric is fairly stiff and canvas like - I guess it needs to be though!

With regard to the age recommendations, ds moved out of the newborn bit at about 5 months. He sits in the front bit now as my dd walks quite a bit so can hop in and out of the back. I know P&T say the heavier one should be up top, but it doesn't make any difference imho.

also meant to say my wee boy is 6 months old but hasn't been able to fit in the lying down bit for a good 2 months. He's been fine in the doubles seat underneath though with a body hugger like this.
