HI
I am thinking about getting a mutsy 4rider but have a few question that I can find answered anywhere. I have 2 kids a 14 week old and a 4 year old. My 4 year old hates walking and we do do a fair bit of it so I normally sling them both,my 14 week old in wrap sling on front and 4 yr old in mai tai on back but my body is starting to suffer as their weight increases. A conversation with someone the other day made me think maybe I should use a pram again and the mutsy 4 rider seems to be more or less what I want.
I do have a very old i'coo pram which weighs an absolute ton and is pretty good but because I use the seat rear facing I can't really get to the brakes and adding a buggy board would make them completely impossible to get to, the seat sits very low on it with the foot rest covering the brake.
I have looked at some other lightweight prams that go rear facing but their maximum seat weight is only 15 kilos and my dd is 16 kilos (plus my little boy is on the heavy side so thinking of the future I probably need some thing a little stronger). I also need fairly solid wheels as we live in a rural area so need to go off road a lot. The mutsy is also a little lighter than my i'coo from the weight measurements they give.
So my question is on the 4 rider can you fit a buggy board with the seat rear facing and still use the brakes? Also generally how do you find using it is it reasonably easy to steer and live with?
