So I have already done this before with my first born but I have honestly forgot absolutely everything! Crazy because it was only 3 years ago! My baby is 6 months old, she’s has very small tastes of blended food but I actually can’t remember for the life of me when you start to replace bottles with food. Can I just have some ideas please on what others do or have done. Do I still give her the same bottles but less in ounces and introduce foods each time she has a bottle, or do I continue to same and just let her have tastes at this stage or do I replace 1 bottle a day with blended food. Her favourite so far is sweet potato puréed!

Follow a plan in a book if you like, Charlotte Sterling Reed or Joe Wicks was good.

We started by first replacing the lunchtime bottle with food. Try to get onto proper solids soon and try to avoid too many sweet fruits/veggies otherwise that's all they'll want!
Also when you build up food always do food before bottle! Took me a while to get the hang of this!

Main calories come from milk until they’re 1 so 6-12m is mainly about trying different food and textures and building up how much they eat, they naturally drink less milk as they eat more food though so by 1 you’d expect them to be eating 3 meals a day (and snacks if your baby is a foodie like mine).
