Confused

I wanted to share something that has been bothering me, I am currently pregnant with my third child and care for two toddlers, I recently had been talking with my mother in law about helping around with my two toddlers as I prepare for labour, she hasn’t ever been there for them or come to visit or baby sit them. Which I didn’t care for tbh but after partner said she will be coming around to help when baby is born I brought it up to her however the conversation went left when she insisted she will only baby sit when I give full custody to my partner and he gets social housing and then she will baby sit when he gets his own place. But we are currently all living together happily and she said alot of people give custody to there partners and if I need the help her and her son will take care of them under there own separate house.

I'd take that she won't be helping then!!!

Does she think that your partner is planning on leaving you?

he works long hours and is very supportive and helps when he is off work. They don’t have a good relationship. It was so random and left me confused tbh

Confused? Unless she knows something you don’t this is totally bizarre. Especially if you are a SAHM who in their right mind would ‘give’ full custody to their spouse? Does she see you just as an incubator?
Pull way back from her and nope she ain’t going to help out (and even if she offered I wouldn’t want her to).
