Teaching French

DD has been badgering me for about 6 months now to learn French. How do I go about it? I got a few books from the library this week to test her interest, she is hooked. She wants to do French daily now. I have A-Level French from many years ago, my accent is shoddy, but she is so keen. In the past week (since we started) she has picked up colours, numbers, a few greetings and some nouns.
I don't know where to go from here.
I catch her in bed reading her French books...she reads English fluently so I need something to show her how to read in French.
I have thought of signing her up for a French class, but I cant find one that will take her now.
Any tips and hints, please!

My friends DD does La Jolie Ronde on Sat mornings for around 30mins and she loves it -She has her own personal work books and thinks she is very grown up speaking in another language! Im sure they are all around the uk

La Jolie Ronde... there is one close by, great to hear good reviews of it. I shall email the teacher this week. DD is 3y3m now so our local Jolie Ronde will take her.

My only problem is that she tries to read the French in her books...except she hasn't heard enough of it to get the pronunciation correct. Any tips- should I just give up the books and speak it to her (with my shoddy accent)? She is a book worm and is loving trying to teach herself but...

Mnay thanks for the recommendation of Jolie Ronde.

Tigermeow - just seen an ad running on this page for La Jolie Ronde how spooky! Have you seen it? Just been to the website and it sounds really good...thinking of this for my DS whose 3. Also a friend of mine is looking at teaching p/t (she's spanish) might tell her as they pay you £50 if you recommend someone

I thought about Muzzy but DD really doesn't like the TV, I cant remember when she last watched it. I also didn't want to invest £200 for something that she might not like!

Today I heard her going over her French books teaching her toys. She must have about 50 French words now. I am quite amazed at the speed as to which she has picked it up, we've only been doing it 10days! She reads her French books in bed at night so is seemingly teaching herself. I'd best sign myself up for a course soon!

Jolie Ronde is looking very promising now for September. She is so excited!
