Hello I descaled my steriliser yesterday with white vinegar and I ran 2 water cycles after it and it still smelt but my baby needed a bottle so put them in steriliser after the 2 water cycles and now the bottles smell of it I’ve washed them thoroughly and put them back in again and they still smell like it but I’ve just had to give my baby a bottle cos he was screaming for one, will he be okay I’m really panicking? Also how do I get the smell out of the steriliser and bottles?

Vinegar is a natural substance, it wont cause any harm at all, especially as it's just the scent of it. Trust that everything is clean and your baby will be absolutely fine.

Okay Thankyou so much for reassuring me! Do you know at all how to get rid of the scent?

We had an incident where someone else ran the steriliser whilst I had white vinegar in it 🫠 the smell does fade after a wash or two, I did have to lick a teat before I gave it to my baby to make sure they didn't taste the way they smelt and all was fine.
As other poster has said, natural product won't do any harm :)
