Hi
my son is 3 in 3 weeks. For past say 6/8 months has been an ok sleeper, occasionally waking when poorly etc but generally sleeping. Since before Xmas he started waking at 4.30amish every night.
it is now around 1-2am and 4.30am. He is not cold. We have heating that comes on if temp drops. It seems to be habit and I don’t know how to stop
it.
we recently dropped to 0 naps because of the wakings but nO improvement as I thought maybe this is when to move to no nap.

He literally screams and kicks/bangs his legs on the cot bed to make so much noise to wake us. But he isn’t crying he is just doing it so I go in. I tried leaving him and he then goes quiet then goes again even louder. Problem is my partner works at 4an so is up at 3am so I can’t leave him to break the habit otherwise wakes partner up. Currently I go in and hold him til he goes back to sleep. Sometimes this can be 1 hour. So I can be in there 1-2am then 4-5am. Previously he would find a dummy in his cot and go back to sleep. I just don’t know why this is now happening and I am loosing it. ESP being the one that is up every night

Is he still in a cot? We had similar and found changing to a bed helped (small toddler in toddler bed size cot so still had plenty of room).
