Night training pants - useful?

Hi all. My 5 year son still wears nappies at night. No SEN but is a deep sleeper. I was waiting for his nappies to be less full to then start night training but they are still full in the morning. He doesn’t have water in the evening and goes to the toilet before bath and again half an hour later before bed.

I have seen some night training pants which are designed to be a step from nappy to dry at night. Would this be helpful or am I better off just taking the nappy off and seeing what happens? We have waterproof mattress protectors etc.

He doesn’t have day time accidents but doesn’t always give me much warning when he needs to go which can mean he needs to rush sometimes to the toilet. Thanks for any advice.

If his nappies are wet then no I wouldn’t. Night training is hormonal. Training pants just leak.

I’ve always found nappies far better! We did use the Drynites but found they leaked a lot! Pampers or Rascals have been the best overnight for us!
