MMR side effects - is this normal?

DS had MMR a week ago. I knew to expect some slight side effects 7-10 days after. He woke 2 nights ago having been sick in the cot, was sick again early morning and only ate a yogurt yesterday (didn't stay down). He's sleeping loads, totally off his food and not really drinking much either. His nappies are still wet, but drier than usual. He has the measles like rash, but also has really runny eyes, which were glued up this morning, like conjunctivitis.

Is this normal, or does it sound like he also has a bug at the same time? I've googled for side effects, but would be grateful to hear others' experience. TIA.

vomiting can be a side effect (although I think diarrhoea is more common).

The good news if he has the rash etc is that you know it has worked and produced a decent immune response (not seeing anything doesn't mean it hasn't but seeing one kind of confirms it iykwim).

I;'d give probiotics and some cod liver oil if you can get it into him (contains vitamin A - great thing for measles).

Actually I've just remembered when I had actual measles as a kid I threw up everywhere.
