I need some help! I have a baby just over 2 weeks old and since birth he won’t sleep anywhere but my arms. He was a bit sick and had rsv which hasn’t helped but since we got home he won’t sleep anywhere but in my arms not even co sleeping in my bed. He’ll go down for maybe 20 mins at a time and then back up. I wouldn’t mind if he slept in bed beside me but he won’t do that and I’m exhausted and need help I have a 3 year old who needs my attention too

That's so rough, I'm sorry.

I assume you've tried swaddling? My DS liked the arms up swaddle a lot. Hated all the other swaddles.

He also liked sleeping in our arms for big chunks of the night until we got his reflux under control around 7/8 weeks. Some nights he would sleep in the cot, but some would be like you describe. He was EBF and had CMPA. I had to cut all dairy and soy from my diet (which is a lot harder than you think) but it resolved his reflux entirely.

Yeah the swaddling hasn’t worked for us unfortunately he just likes to be held 🙈 how did you discover the allergies did the doctor test him? He’s ebf too and I hadn’t thought of that side of it

Tried a sling in daytime?
2 weeks is so young. It'll get easier.

Do you have a partner? Can you do shifts? I have a 6 week old and for the first month one of us went to bed and the other had our newborn downstairs 9 -1 and then we swapped 1 - 6am at least then we both had a block of sleep. Can you go to bed after your 3 year old?

When DD was that age DH had her on his chest from 8- 1 so I could get a chunk of sleep and then we usually managed to get her down next to me after that.
