Does this sound about right? First girlfriend

DS 14 has his first girlfriend and wants to invite her over to hang out on Saturday. I’ve said yes but they need to stay downstairs with the door open and that I’ll be popping in and out doing the washing. Does this sound ok? What does everyone else do?

At those ages I had (yet another) chat with my kids about consent, safe sex, respecting the boundries of my home, and then allowed my kids to have privacy.

I don't want to be walking in and out while my teens are chatting and kissing their gf/bf.

Assuming you've done a good job of raising him so far you need to trust your parenting.

I have 2 adults and 2 teens, so have been through this a fair bit, and I have always got back the respect I've afforded my dc.
