How much sleep is too much sleep?

So ds is 3 and usually is in a pretty strict routine as I work long hours and he's tired after nursery so by the time i get him it's a quick dinner, bath and bed. Usually I wake him up around 7.30 in the morning and he is asleep for 7pm at night. However we have 2 weeks off for Christmas and nursery is closed. I've been down with the flu everyone seems to have so I've relaxed ds routine and he's been going to bed around 8.30/9ish and then rather than setting an alarm I've been letting him wake me when he wakes up. But he's sleeping much longer than I anticipated, sometimes waking as late as 11am. Last night we pulled it back and he was asleep for around 8am and I've just had to go in and wake him at 10.15am. He's still going to bed really well and sleeping all through the night and I'm wondering if maybe his system is also fighting off what I have even though he's just got a bit of a runny nose and I've still been trying to do plenty during the day. But mum guilt is eating me. Is this bad for him in any way? Should I be sticking more closely to his normal routine or just let him have more rest while he has the opportunity? He doesn't nap at all, he dropped that at 1.5.

It’s possible he is fighting off your illness. If he seems well when awake I wouldn’t worry about it for now.
