Is your baby in a cot in your room atm? I have no experience of using floor beds. Maybe a little young for a bed? A cot in the room might be a better transition.
The room would need to be completely child proofed as there will be nothing to stop baby getting out of bed and climbing or pulling things on top of him/ herself. So any furniture would need fixing to the wall etc.

My son went into his own room on a floor bed at 14 months. It was pretty easy to child proof, they don’t need much in their room. We got the box covers for plug sockets (it’s the ones that go into the plug that are unsafe not boxes, google plug box cover) we also decided to take the door off and replace with a babygate so no risk opening the door onto him if he moved around, but tbh when he woke he either stayed on the bed or came to the gate.
