12 month vaccinations help

n anyone help me? My son (13 months) had his 12 month vaccinations today including the MMR one. He’s been crying all afternoon. He didn’t want to play with his toys. Only wanted to lay on the sofa watching tv next to me. Only time he cracked a smile was when he was in the bath.

He did his usual 2.5 hour nap in the day and went to bed at the usual time. Usually when I put him in the cot, I lay him down on his back and he immediately rolls to his front and sleeps like that all night.
Tonight he’s just stayed on his back. Has woken after 30 minutes (he never ever does this. He’s sleep trained and sleeps a good 11 hours solid overnight since 5 months old) and is just crying and won’t move. He’s still on his back with no attempt to roll to his front.

Is this normal? I’m so worried.

Temp is about 37.5

It can be, yes. One of mine got quite sore joints after the 12 month jabs. The GP described it as a sort of reactive arthritis because of the immune response. It was painful for him to lie down and he couldn’t bear weight for about 48 hours. Then it was gone and he was fine. I’d be offering calpol and also ibuprofen if necessary until he is feeling better.

Thank you so much. I’m a first time mum and also solo so I have no idea what’s normal and no one to talk to. I fear I’m in for a rough few days lol
