Interested in what house rules/consequences you all have for good and bad behaviour in your house? I feel like ours need a new system as all a bit washy washy…! (For ten and seven y-os if relevant!)

We don’t really have consequences as a standard. We have you have to leave the house every day, even if it’s just to the shop, or round the garden. You have to do one sport or outside school activity a week. clean rooms as I’m not cleaning it for you (but will help). They have chores that are age appropriate.
They also know that lying is the thing I hate most. We have always told the kids, we will trust them unless they give us reasons not to.
so far it’s worked.
we don’t really like the adults vs children thing our house, if they are old enough to ask a question, they are old enough to know the answer. Respect works both ways.

Shoes off once inside
Put it away when you're finished with it
Be kind
Tell the truth

Consequence (at 11) is a tech ban.
