Had my 3 year old daughters speech and language appointment today and previously I had told her concerns around my toddlers sensory issues, Doesn't like loud noises, crowds, freaks out at her hands being dirty, if you put a blanket over her both sides of the blanket have to be fully straight and no creases or folds or she will have a meltdown, walks on her tip-toes, doesn't respond to her name ever time and ive been told today by SLT that they have picked up on her walking on tip toes and "stimming" They want to do a referral after Christmas. This is my first time dealing with anything like this so any advice would be welcome. And are traits in girls different to boys? Thank you x

Has she had a hearing test?

Traits aren’t different in girls than boys. Girls are more like to mask from a young age so it may look different or the behaviour is percieved differently. What I mean is a boy sorting and lining up cars will make people think autism but a girl sorting and lining up dolls will be considered to organised.

She does sound as if she has quite a few autistic traits to be honest. Early diagnosis can be very useful though in that school can put adjustments into place and she can get support.
