My little boy is almost 13 months old and he used to say baba now he doesn’t say any words and no gestures the hv are coming to see him in 2 weeks he shows good eye contact, come to me when I shout him and puts his arms up to be held, how concerned should I be about this

Well he's very young, so the lack of speech isn't a concern. However, losing words is a red flag. Has he picked up any others at all?

My dd is 14 months and she will go through phases of saying a word but then won’t say it again for weeks and weeks before it pops up again. My eldest was exactly the same. Health visitors generally don’t worry about lack of speech until two years old. I think I’d be more concerned by the lack of gestures but I’m no professional so not sure if that’s correct. Your health visitor will definitely be able to advise you so hopefully you get some answers/reassurance from them.

My DD was talking well until she was 14 months old and then stopped completely. She started talking again at 16 months but nothing like she had done before.
No one would listen to me until she was 11 when she was diagnosed with an expressive language disorder. Speech therapy really helped and she is not affected by this now.
