Possible Chicken Pox - Advice Please

DS1 aged 2.5 had high temps for a good few days, GP said nothing to worry about, tonsils a little inflamed but to just keep an eye on him. Temps went down last night but this afternoon have noticed rash all over torso and top of back - have now got emergency appt at 7pm and just wanted to know if this sounds like possible chicken pox? He has a younger brother aged 1.5 and i'm 31 weeks PG. Also flying abroad on Thursday - if it is CP i imagine we cancel the trip? Thanks for advice. Sorry if posting in wrong place too.

Chickenpox tends to be discrete blister-like spots - often a 'master' spot, then other spots spread out from it.

It could be a virus of some kind - either one with a name, or a non-specific one.

Hi - CP has blisters at centre of the spots - get a torch and shine it on the spots - you can then see clearly - if pus or only red then not CP (although not every CP spot has a blister but the vast majority do) If CP def no flying. Have you had CP?

Sorry, clicked post too soon!

Ds2 has chickenpox atm, and it is very much 'spots' rather than 'rash'. He had what the doctor described as a 'measles-like non-specific virus' 2 weeks ago, which was a flat red rash that started on his face, then spread down his neck onto his chest, arms, legs. But some viral rashes start on the torso.
