I have a 3 year old ds who is a sweet boy but very head strong always has been! I’m 33 weeks pregnant and he’s started nursery in September so I’m sure some of that is contributing to his behaviour! However he says he loves going to school hates having to take a day off when he’s sick and he seems excited for his brother coming and he can’t wait to get involved but recently he has been throwing a tantrum lasting up to an hour daily and it’s absolutely draining! This can be over anything his big things at the moment is he can’t walk or stand up he needs lifted everywhere, he can’t do anything for himself for example can’t feed himself food keeps calling off the fork when he’s shaking it off, can’t reach anything he wants he’ll be touching it and screaming at me that he needs it passed to him regardless of what I’m doing. He’ll ask for something and if he hasn’t got it within 3 seconds he’ll be screaming at us that he needs it, if he even hears the word no coming it’s another massive meltdown! I’ve been trying to ignore the behaviour as much as I can but it’s not working and I’m really desperate to get a hold on it before we bring a new baby into the mix as well because life will just be a lot harder than it needs to be. I have been trying to make sure the new baby isn’t interfering with his life already anything I need to get done to get ready for the baby has been done while he’s at school so it’s not eating into his time with me. Anyone any advice on how to deal with this and get it in line sooner rather than later

You just have to be consistent. It's a normal stage of child development.
