Advice - is this bullying or not?

Hi daughter was told last night that one of her primary ‘friends’ who she is with at secondary made a TikTok video in which she is saying f* you Xxxx. Daughter text her to ask why would you do that she came back with an elaborate lie about how she knew another Xxxx to which my daughter just laughed and said she’s up to her old tricks i.e lying … do I leave this as she has called her out and husband says don’t get involved she can sort she’s resilient. I’m tempted to let it go (girl even said I didn’t do anything but don’t tell your mum!!) this time but step in if happens again (daughter not friends with her on TikTok a friend has told her) tell the school etc. my argument is if you don’t particularly like my daughter just leave her be!

Yes, it is bullying.

It’s just kids stuff. Make sure your daughter is ok and let her deal with it herself for a bit before you intervene

I think it depends on how your daughter views it. My daughter, at primary age and still at an older teen age, would shrug it off and say she didn’t care what someone wrote on TikTok or similar.
Often just not getting a reaction is enough to stop that person writing more.
If the other girl carries on writing about your daughter, then it becomes bullying.
