Child admitted to hospital

After some advice from other parents who have children that are ill and admitted to hospital often. My little boy has asthma and is sometimes admitted to hospital for treatment when he poorly.
I am a stay at home mum but when he is poorly and is admitted my husband has needs to take time of work to look after the baby and keep things running at home.
Is anyone else in a similar situation and how do you manage with time off? My husband uses his sick leave or holiday but has nothing left at the moment.
It can get very stressful

We used daycare but I worked pt so upped the days usually easy enough.

Husband did have to take unpaid leave sometimes.

Apply for DLA for son if his asthma is severe for hospital admissions and you can claim carers allowance which may help dh take unpaid leave

When we’ve been there DH has been in hospital with the poorly child and I’ve been at home with the baby and gone in for chunks of the day as thankfully my mum could have the baby for a few hours. His work are amazing and have just let him duck in and out as he could and not made him take time off officially. I know how very lucky that has been.
