If you say so, NAB!

Yes - otherwise it becomes too long - did they do the 2 things at the same time or are you "back dating"

I try not to send my children to their bedroom as punishment as I dont want them to feel their bedroom is a place they are sent to when they are naughty. I want them to feel it is a place they can play, sleep & feel safe and warm in.

Have you tried a time out mat. This works in the same way as the time out step.

So theory has it NAB but didn't work at all for my DS. Found just sending him to cool off until he is ready to act in an acceptable manner works better. Gives him time to think about how he is feeling and whether he just needs a break from everyone for a while. Depends on their age. Don't think a child under 2 understands being naughty. Anyone older than 4 would probably understand the need to have a bit of chill out time.
