5 year old sore eye/s

My 5 year old has recently started saying one or both eyes are sore. I have started to notice he blinks a bit before he says they hurt. It's usually evening time, don't think he's mentioned it during the day before.
Theres nothing else different with looking at them etc accept for he will rub them/blink when they are hurting him. It doesn't seem to last long as I'll check back in maybe 10mins later and he will say they are better.
I wondered if it was maybe dry eyes? Or related to screen time - he doesn't get loads of it but wondered if by the end of the day it was taking its toll?
I have quite bad health anxiety myself so trying to stay reasonable about it all.

Has he had an eye test?
It could be a combination of trying to see the board at school or screen time causing eye strain if he needs glasses. Get him tested, it’s free for sight tests at his age.

He had the standard eye test last year in reception which came back fine! I wear glasses and have done since young so I think I'd better take him to get a test
