Poorly 8month old

I have a 8month old who’s been poorly now for 7 weeks, fluctuating temperature one minutes it’s normal 36.5 next it’s 38/39 then after half hour or so he goes back to his normal temperature. He’s scream crying, very unsettled, has moment of sever lethargy where we struggle to wake him. I’ve taken him to the doctors 5 times, 3 times to urgent care and everytime they take his obs and because he’s perked up a bit they are fine. I keep getting told by the doctors that it’s because I’m a first time mum I’m over paranoid that this is how babies are but he’s really really not himself I’m mentally and physically exhausted. What once was a happy healthy baby who only cried when he was hungry or needed a nappy change has now turned into a baby that’s really not happy and is crying 80% of the day. Has anyone else gone through this? I’m at a battle with the doctors and I feel like I’m drowning 😢

As a mother you know your baby and if something doesnt feel right. Keep pushing to speak to the doctors. Use your voice a little and tell them how concerned it is making you feel. 7 weeks seems a long time for a baby to have up and down fever.

Did it start after the third round of the 6in1 vaccine? Worth mentioning if so. It does sound unusual and I would be kicking up a fuss. Have you kept records of the temps and your own observations? That is really useful for the docs too.
