HFM - fever to spots - how long?

How long did it take between the start of a fever and the emergence of HFM spots?

My LO has had a high fever since Friday night (now Monday morning) and a mild rash but not on his mouth or hands etc. But it seems that every single toddler at his nursery has HFM right now, so wondering if it's that?

Have a look at the Skin Deep website (reputable!) https://dftbskindeep.com/all-diagnoses/roseola/ and https://dftbskindeep.com/all-diagnoses/scarlet-fever/ at some other possibilities.

HFM is very variable (pretty sure my LO has just had their second bout, and this time was more face and nappy region, last year was classic little blisters on hands and feet). But neither time has LO had a fever, whereas I was sick as anything (like flu) last year.

If you're worried, given the fever, I would send a message to the GP and attach a good photo of the rash.
