Baby Gate advice

Hi there. My little one is now officially in the move!

We need a baby gate for the bottom of our stairs but im not sure what kind to get. I don't think the pressure for type will work. I've added pics of what the stairs look like.

I'd recommend one of the baby Dan ones, they screw to the wall and post.

Technically you are supposed to install them below the bottom step but we did similar to what you'll have to do and there were no real dangerous gaps.
I'd recommend also fixing yours to the hall side face of the post, so you can fold it completely back out of the way. The hinges can swing 180 degrees so it should be fine
