Teething and dirty nappies?

My little one is 6 months old. They have suddenly gone from pooing once a day on average, to 6-12 times a day over the last 3 days!

They have rosy red cheeks, everything is going in their mouth, lots of dribbles, and a little fussier at times. Otherwise having plenty of milk (if not slightly more!) and generally happy and content.

could this be a sign of teething? I know the NHS don’t directly link the two but people generally report it as a symptom. If your little one had this before teething, how long did it then take for their tooth to come through? Mine has no teeth so far.

My DD is 8 months and has been like this on and off since 6 months and no teeth yet!

As soon as we started weaning she poos so much more now, thought it was teeth but think its just the change to having food as it has settled down but has taken a couple of months.

So essentially could be teething and I still think it is for my DD but could be change if started weaning.

We haven’t been too consistent with weaning so I don’t think we can put it down to that. Thank you for your help!
