14 month old crying just after falling asleep every night

For the last 4 weeks or so almost every night we try to get our 14 month old to sleep at bedtime she starts crying soon after. She had her bath which she enjoys and then a feed during which she almost goes to sleep but then comes off and starts crying, lots of cuddles, rocking, music walking about in the carrier etc later she does settle to sleep, it’s not even like she’s behaving like she wants to be awake, trying to play etc. Then in her sleep she will keep on waking up every couple of minutes just crying even if we’re still holding her but definitely if we try to put her down. Then after 45-60 minutes will settle down.None of our older ones were like this, any ideas please?

Probably teeth. Give her nurofen before bed and see if it helps.

Yes I did wonder and a few nights when she really hasn’t settled at all calpol has helped, she doesn’t seem to be showing any other signs of teething though, red cheeks or presenting in the the way our others did with teething. I can’t understand why she’s fine during the day and for her afternoon nap but is just like this at bedtime

I find that though. If I've got tooth or ear pain it always feels worse at night.

Yes have wondered that as she’ll be feeding almost falling asleep then pull off crying, she’ll try latching a few more times but then just keeps coming off and crying. She used to do the same when she was very tiny for most of her day time feeds and actually dropped several centiles, she didn’t for her night time feeds though and so focussed on doing lots more feeding at night and she started gaining on track again, by 4-5 months she was feeding ok in the day.
Now once eventually get her to sleep she’ll take ages to settle again if I try to change position or definitely if lay her down, she only had her dinner about an hour and a half before bedtime, I just wonder why it’s starting now if it is that.
