2.5 yr old vomiting bug 5 days

DD vomited Monday and Wednesday night but otherwise fine in herself. Then thursday every 30 mins for about 6 hours, finally stopped and was much better yesterday (Friday). However tonight just woke up to massive bright yellow bile vomit.

She has barely eaten this week but has been drinking ok. No poop since Monday.

Going to call 111 in the morning I think but has anyone had a vomit bug last this long and be random like this?

Google has made me a bit worried about the colour of her vomit and the fact she hasn’t pooped.

The bright yellow is usually the end, call 101, she may be dehydrated.

Yes, my DD had one like this once or twice. I think I called GP, and they advised 50/50 apple juice and water.

Watch out for dehydration. Little ones often rally and then suddenly drop. Pure apple juice (not from concentrate) mixed with water and given orally measured (eg with a calpol syringe) every 5 mins or on a teaspoon. Make a note of the amount of fluid little ones had over an hour. If tolerating well then increase volume of liquid. I’d absolutely call 111 however and watch out for lethargy. All the best.

Lucozade sport also good. Sips and strict monitoring.
Hugs. Bugs can be scary

Thank you all for your responses. @Alwayslearning25 @EmeraldShamrock000 @TabbyMcTats @Walkerzoo

so I called 111 this morning and we were sent to an out of hours Gp. She felt it was constipation as the main issue that was causing the vomiting, and gave us Movicol and sent us on our way.

DD actually had a poop just before we left about 12pm, so has been now which is a relief. But this afternoon still writhing around and in pain. Has been sick once more.

I feel a bit like I was fobbed off and I’m panicking. Can constipation causing vomiting and such pain?

we are really struggling to get movicol in her and she is utterly miserable.
