Well, I've just bought eco balls from Spirit of Nature and they seem to be working well.

I think they would yes, i'd probably add a drop of tea tree to the rinse JIC as well.

We haven't used ours yet though, waiting to finish the Bold first.

Ours were from lakeland

Just to add, I think it depends on your water type. I looked into this a while ago and from quite a bit of research it seemed to only work well on nappies in soft water areas - I'm in the South East so I didn't bother as we have such hard water. I went for the anti-eco Bold 2in1 option

We bought eco balls, and live in a soft water area (Scotland) and I found they didn't work at ALL on anything, so got a refund!

Plus something in me thinks they are a bit like the emperor's new clothes / placebo effect, i.e. they aren't any better than washing with a few small plastic balls in your machine.

Thanks for replies.
MrsJ i've done a bit more research now, managed to find some papers comparing the balls with washing liquid and plain water and they did rather suggest you might be right!!! I think I'll stick with fairy!
