Help on weaning one year old off breast milk

My daughter is turning one in 3 weeks she is breastfed and on solids however she has always refused to take a bottle just will not entertain it whatsoever. I’m back at work in 8 weeks so when she turns one I am hoping to wean her off the breast however she is just boob mad, every time I hold her she wants it she will pull at my top to get at me we also co sleep so she still feeds during the night whenever she wants to which is about 3 times currently but she is teething as before she would go the whole night only feeding once for comfort. Are their any tips or advise on how to wean her off completely for when I’m back at work I know it will be a difficult time for me and her but I would prefer her to be off breast milk by the time I go back to work. Also want to try for baby no 2 and having ovulated yet. Thankyou in advance :)

No advice and I'm not in exactly the same sit but would love to see what advice you get. Mine is the same ish age and about to start childcare, they do take a bottle though so will have that there initially. I want to settle them in and then eventually look to night wean and then go down to just a bedtime feed or maybe a morning feed too. My other two were formula fed when they started childcare and I didn't breastfeed them this long so no idea what to do. I'm fed up but I'm hoping that continuing breastfeeding may help them not get as badly ill as DC2 was when they started childcare at this time of year. It was the worst winter of our lives and we even had a hospital admission at one point.

Here for the replies too. My DD is one in four weeks and feeds to sleep for every nap, bedtime and night wake so I have no idea how to even begin weaning her off the boob.

Hi there - I don’t have much time to respond in full but I highly recommend looking up Lucy Webber on instagram. She is fantastic and has loads of info on returning to work/ weaning etc she does online workshops as well - I did one on weaning and found it so supportive and gave me a lot of confidence.
