We’ve just had our baby son. During the pregnancy, my child’s mother wouldn’t see me until the last couple of weeks. She told me she didn’t love me, so during that time I started dating. When she found out, she was furious.
We sat down together, talked through the pros and cons of our relationship, and even became quite close again. The next week our son was born. After the birth, her sister stayed with her and me whilst I was on paternity leave, and today we spoke about everything again. She repeated that she doesn’t love me.
The truth is, I love this woman deeply and I really want to try to fix things. Right now, we live apart. I see my son for two days a week, we have daily video calls, and whenever I’m on leave I go over there to spend time with him.
I’m struggling with what to do next.
