Does anyone know how to deal with toddlers throwing toys and other objects??
He throws keys, hard / heavy toys but not out of anger or tantrums, its a case of excitement- like if were playing with him or tickling him, he will just roll over and grab a hot wheels toy and throw it at us. Earlier, my partner was changing his nappy and they were laughing and my son grabs a set of keys and throws them really hard at his dads face to the extent theres several cuts and his eye was hit but no damage directly resulted thankfully.
We immediately shout at him and tell, him off (we very rarely shout at him, we usually explain in other areas our reasoning for why we say no etc in a lot more of a calmer way) and then we reconcile and calm everyone down and move on but he just doesnt seem to be getting that when he throws something like keys at our face full force- it hurts!
Any advice??
