Baby clothes from SHEIN

I’m due another baby soon and have been gifted some new baby clothes that I’m pretty sure are from SHEIN. I wouldn’t personally buy my children clothes from there for a number of reasons both ethical and safety-based. I feel a bit awkward now as the person who gifted the clothes will expect to see baby wearing them. I don’t want to offend them as they mean well and I don’t want to seem ungrateful when they have been kind and generous.

I probably won’t dress baby in them but I’m also not sure what to do with them now!? I don’t want to throw them away as that seems even more wasteful, but wouldn’t want to regift or sell an item I wouldn’t use for my own child. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Keep an outfit for when you see your friend, dress baby in it just for the meeting and then charity shop everything after.

Take a few photos of them in said clothing aswell if it’s a few things . Then you can show them that baby loves their new clothes even if you charity shop them after the photo.

As they have already been bought I would use them. Seems even worse not to. Then pass to the charity shop.

Wash them first, either way.

If you don’t feel comfortable using them, don’t use them. Drop them off at H&M for recycling.
