SAHM stressed and anxious

Does anyone else get very stressed and anxious when you don’t have a plan/structure to the day?

Even if the structure is basic things it gives me a really sense of peace, without any kind of structure of plan I feel myself become really really stressed

I have a 4yo and 8mo for reference

I’m not sleeping well either if that makes a difference

I definitely used to get like this so you are not alone. I had to have something to do each day or else I would quickly start to feel down.

I used to feel like this when I felt really out of control with two under two but as they got older I felt we were operating at too higher frequency if you know what I mean and I realised I had to get used to just being ok with being at home. It's good for the kids to be able to amuse themselves and it means I can get on with some jobs.

Yes definitely. Mine are older now but I used to have something lined up for every morning. DC1 also definitely needed a plan too and was hopeless if it was just me and them all day.

I had 4 kids 5 years between oldest and youngest. I can say I didn't plan anything at all.
Didn't even have set nap times. Just went with the flow. I didn't get stressed they didn't get stressed.
