3 childs seats in the back

I have a problem I have three sons, age 4, 14months and 7 weeks. I am struggling to get 3 seats accross the back seats and wondered if anyone has a solution...other than a new car!!!!!!!!

New seats? We used to only hire cars and we NEVER had a problem as long as we hired something that was at least C-class. Yes seats were tight in there, but they certainly all fit in. I gather some seats are really wide at the base? We have now bought a booster seat (Britax) that has stupid side handles on it making it impossible to fit with more than one other seat in the back (we use it in front occasionally).

Britax stage 1 seats usually have a narrow base, Graco do a narrow booster. Could you go to Mothercare and try some different combinations, hopefully you would only need to change one seat.
