Baby will not sleep at creche

My 8.5month old will not settle for naps at creche. He started last week, 2 days a week.

For context, he is a very happy, laid back baby. Many people in our families have commented on how they have never heard him cry. He transfers well into his cot at home for naps and will sleep well. He only ever is upset when he is tired.

In creche, he will not transfer into the cot for his naps. He wakes up kicking and screaming. He is therefore getting little to no sleep and ends up upset and crying and they cannot settle him. I have had to pick him up early twice.

Is this just going to take time? I have serious mom guilt that is he so upset when he is not a baby who cries normally. I think I naively thought he would settle without any issue as he is such a chilled baby who will go to anyone and smiles at everyone.

Is there anything I can do to help or will it just take time for him to learn how to nap in a new place?

So he's literally only been there twice? No settling in period?

@Wiskinbononohe has been in 4 days now. 2 of which I had to pick him up early. They did not do a settling in period which I thought was strange. They thought at his age being so young that he wouldn't need it like say a 1year old might.
