A single mom looking for hobbies I can do

Hey! I am single mom to a 1 year old . I work from 7 - 5:30 am and the baby is in daycare from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm . Ever since a few month after my baby was born I feel I have this routine of work come home feed baby, change baby, bath for baby then sleep. Sometimes not even giving myself a bath. I don’t have any hobbies. I don’t have any friends or family . And I don’t even have aquatints . I want to develop a hobby that I will enjoy and have time for in my busy schedule also some self improvement and care practices I can start doing . If you have any ideas or tips please reach out ! Also I have heard of these already reading, walking, crafts and unfortunately those are all uninteresting to me just boring in my opinion is there anything fun that we moms can still do or now that I have a baby I need to get used to and learn to like boring uninteresting hobbies? No offense to anyone who does enjoy them I just think for me I would be bored and uninterested falling into this category of hobbies moms are supposed to do. Please feel feee to comment all comments welcome and thank you !

Can you get evening childcare? If yes, you can do anything.

To give you some random ideas mums I know do: Salsa? Roller derby? Board games club? Knitting? Kayaking? Wall climbing? Ballet?

Hi love, it's a lot being a working mum, never mind as a single mum. You absolutely deserve some downtime. You say you work when the baby is in nursery. So what sort of hobby are you looking to do? To meet people? Learn something new? Someone you can do at home? Something out and about? Evenings? Weekends?
What did you enjoy before you were a mum? Xx

Depends on the job obviously but when DS was that age, I couldn’t fit anything into my evenings but joined a gym next to the office and did a class a day during my lunch break. I kept mixing it up (lots of different classes on to try) and had the best time - and that’s coming from someone who hates working out in general!

As someone above said, if you can get evening childcare you can do pretty much anything. Some other things I’ve tried when I can’t afford childcare/not been feasible, was an online D&D group, hosting a book club (after DS was asleep!), volunteering for Shout, making sandwiches/cakes to be dropped off the following day at a homeless shelter. I also wouldn’t assume all crafting is boring - there’s a lot out there and although some definitely isn’t my idea of fun, I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past (pottery, seasonal decor, card making)
